Tht
black and white box to the right of the Hatchrite is a typical
late-model version of the stock Hatchrite "boiler". It is
actually a
repurposed ultrasonic room humidifier.
Here are some shots of the older model boilers. They use a float valve to keep the tank filled with water, a heater
to boild the water and a fan to blow the steam into the incubation chamber via the hose.
The water inlet line has been disconnected from this boiler - you can see what is left of the inlet hose.
Second boiler - not all units have a second boiler
Here is what an early model boiler looks like on the inside. The hotdog-looking thing is the water inlet inlet float
valve. The white button inside the tank is the low-water sensor. It shuts the boiler off if there is insufficient
water in the tank. The black round thing in the bottom of the tank is the heater that boils the water. The big gray
thing is the blower that pushes the steam into the incubation chamber.
